2 Types of Cyber Insurance Policies and What They Cover

Cyber insurance is a part of our business portfolio – we need to understand there are different types of cyber policies offered.

Cyber policies can be available as a stand alone policy or as a supplement to a commercial policy.

Learn more about the differences between the 2 types of cyber insurance so you can make a sound decision as you purchase the policy to secure your business and have financial peace of mind.

*A supplemental policy is an add on to your commercial or general liability policy and typically provide small limit and may not cover a lot of 1st party cyber risk coverages along with regulatory or industry fines.

*Stand alone or comprehensive cyber policy provides broad 1st and 3rd party coverages with higher limits. These cyber policies are based on industry and business classification and its expected risks and offer coverages accordingly!

Cyber insurance come into play after cyber attack takes place.

General liability or professional liability will NOT cover those expenses and incidents!
